About Me

I completed a three year Post Graduate Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy in 2000 and since then I have maintained a private practice offering brief, medium and open ended therapy to adult individuals. For the last six years I have also provided brief, time limited counselling in GP surgeries.

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor

I subscribe to the code of ethics and practice laid down by The British Association of Counsellors/Psychotherapists [BACP]

I have always been interested in people and the innate capacity of human beings to cope and adapt to whatever experiences the universe might provide. Prior to moving into the field of psychotherapy I trained initially as a general nurse and then as a psychiatric nurse. It was during my twenty years experience of working as a Community Psychiatric Nursing Sister [CPN] that I developed a deep interest in working therapeutically with people. As a result of my years of working as a CPN I have a wide knowledge and experience of emotional and psychological issues.
